Petrik takes inspiration from anything that makes a sound, be that a breaking wave or a distant bird call. He peppers his grooves with ear-catching detail that draws in the brain. The more you listen the more new elements you hear. A love of classical, jazzy and African rhythms also seeps into his studio process next to exotic Middle Eastern vocals and oriental instruments. His resulting blend minimal, deep house and techno takes listeners on expansive journeys without ever leaving the dance floor.
