Really? Alexandra and Danie? Simultaneously uploading? OMG which one should I watch first? Love you both ☺️

Everyone is raving about this room when they stay over ♥️ so cozy, so moody and so perfect! Great job friend, thank you again for bringing your talents and love to my home ♥️✨

I love the look of this room. If I was to make a suggestion, I would pull in the purple from the wallpaper a little more. Like a dark purple chair and a light purple throw blanket...something like that to tie in the wallpaper a bit more.

love that you’ve stepped out of your comfort zone with both this and your boyfriends makeover!

Loved this makeover! There are some comments saying that it doesn’t match the rest of Danny’s home but personally I kind of like that! I feel like when you have a large enough home with multiple rooms it can be fun to creat kind of like a “hidden gem” that’s different than the overall flow. Especially since it’s a guest room, which usually doesn’t have a lot of foot traffic on a day to day basis. Love it!!

Oh Lordy... the wallpaper not meeting the slope in the wall would drive me mad!! 🙈

Pasted wallpaper is supposed to be “booked” . The paste is applied to the back of the paper and then you fold it end to end. Let is sit for 15 minutes and then hang the section. And repeat. Also all wallpapering starts with a plumb line. Keeps things on track .

I worried about the color but in the end I love the room, It all fits together and it is a joy to see a room that is not a white one. Please do more rooms where the color theme is not white or off while.

The unfinished wood pieces and baskets and the bedding don’t say dark academia. It seems disjointed and the wall paper could have been elevated by some thin trim moulding to finish the ragged edges. Beautiful wallpaper, sconces and rug.

A neater finish for that wallpaper... Crease the edge as you did with that tool (or with the edge of some scissors), then while it's still wet, pull it away from the wall a little and cut along that creased line with scissors, and smooth it down. This is how we do it in the UK.

I like what you've done with the room, it's dark and moody. I don't really see 'British' in it at all, and it's so vastly different from Danii's 'Farmhouse' style in the rest of her home.

Early in this video Danie says "We are going OG Farmhouse". She got "Dark and Moody Academia". I watched Danie's channel master makeover and Alexandra's channel makeover of the guest room, and while the dark and moody is a change for Alex, it doesn't go with the rest of Danie's house, strikingly so.

For me, everything looks good up until she added the light wood coat hangers, bench, and baskets. I feel like they do not compliment the dark academia mood she's aiming for. ☹️ I understand the need to mix up styles to prevent it from being boring. But I feel like adding boho/rustic items are a bit underwhelming if you're trying to achieve elegant/moody vibes.

I honestly don't know what you all are banging on about. It makes way, way more sense to take the wall colour up to the ceiling than it does to paint the small-ish ceiling space a different colour. It's a no-brainer. That's a seriously gorgeous colour btw. I am currently nearing the end of my tiny house build and I fully intend to paint my little "dollhouse" in the same way.

I kept saying to myself “trust the process” in the end totally loving the cozy vibe. And two of my faves Alexandra and Danie perfect Saturday morning.

I'm a girl who loves darker colors and walls in decor so this room was absolutely up my alley!

Love those walls! Personally I'd wanna stain the light wood items to match the sidetables - but I also tend to lean dark in my decor style. Definitely love these darker, moodier makeovers lately. Well done!

The color is gorgeous, but as someone who painted a deep purple and dark rich red rooms once I had to paint over them…..I cried 😂
I was so freaking crazy as a teen, never will do an entire room dark again but OMG I love this color.

What is so great about an upstairs attic-style nook of a room is the washy light that happens when you're closer to the sky. The dark green just demolishes any hopes for feeling like you are up and away. I love the color and the boldness but not for an attic room. In my opinion it's way too heavy and bold for a space that should feel like a cream puff. But I do love that chair!

I love the dark and moody vibes I just think it feels sparse and needed to be filled out more with accessories and art to really lean into the cozy and academia side.
