Baking Ron Paul’s Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies!!

Ron Paul is my hero. I have been a huge supporter of his since around 2009. In this video, I will be sharing personal stories from my Ron Paul Revolution days, while I bake Ron Paul's favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe from the Ron Paul Family Cookbook.
Here's the recipe from the cookbook:
"Original Chocolate Chip Cookies"

I received this recipe from my house mother in college and made these to send to Ron at his college. They are still his favorite. Now his daughters and granddaughters make them for him.
Cream: 1 cup Crisco; 1 cup granulated sugar; 1 cup brown sugar; 2 eggs; 1 tsp. vanilla (It is important to put the vanilla in now.)
Dissolve: 1 tsp. baking soda in 1 tbsp. hot water and mix alternately with:
2 1/4 cups flour; 1 tsp. salt; 1 cup chopped nuts; 1 large bag chocolate chips
Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
The cookies are AMAZING! I definitely encourage you to make them too. I can't think of a better way to spread liberty than by bringing Ron Paul chocolate chip cookies to your next family dinner, work potluck party, or friend gathering. Mostly everyone loves good cookies, regardless of their political views :D
