It hits even harder when you catch the double meaning in "I need a cure for me cause the square doesn't fit the circle" is both talking about the mental evaluation test of matching shapes, but also the "square" like when people used to call people a "square" to call them a nerd or loser and not fitting in the "circle" meaning fitting in with the social or normal circles due to the issues you're dealing with. This song has literally been my saving grace when dealing with my depression I have been struggling with since I was a kid.

I used to feel like a dork for finding this song relatable, and then I found out that it was also about the lead singer being diagnosed with ADHD in rehab. I didn't find out I had ADHD until my mid-20s as well. This song hurts because of how real it is to be but at the same time I can't stop listening to it. I feel it to my core.

I love this song so much. It really does relate to trying to recover and get answers. I've gone to a couple of different psychiatrists and counselors and they all said slightly different things and I've tried different medicine but I'm still struggling so much. (Anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, bipolar 1, alcohol use disorder and who knows what I'll be told next....my counselor last session was talking like I might have ptsd too) I don't know if I have all or something in that mix is wrong. Like he said "I'm running out of time" so am I. I want it figured out so I can finally get better because if I have to be this way as I get older I don't know if I can do this. I'm 22 and I just want to get to the point where I can be okay and function. My family doesn't even trust me to live alone right now after I attempted suicide. Recovery and answers are
