Those are cold shoe mounts on the moment cage and the JJC. Not sure if you’re aware but hot shoe sends electronic signals from accessories to cameras such as flash, microphone, etc. Cold shoe is just mounting points for accessories.

Nice presentation but one little detail off: It is NOT a hot-shoe, it is a cold shoe. The hot-shoe is when there is an electronic connection such as in the Sony A7 series in which you can install a wireless mic, flash or light that syncs directly with the camera via its hot-shoe connection. Other than that, very nice blogging style of yours!

I know this may be a bit of a knit Moment Pro doesn’t have a hotshoe mount it has an coldshoe mount because hotshoe supply power through the mount, so unless I’m mistaken that’s a coldshoe! Again a minor thing but I just thought I’d call it out! But great video 😊☺️

I was about to get the a6700 for hybrid photo and video but log and ProRes on the iPhone 15 makes me wonder if it’s even worth buying a body, lenses etc and just grab the iPhone 15 👀
