Someone had the theory that the boy died at the gas station or sth and from there on it was like a dream or his imagination cuz at the beginnin at the beach he wasn't bleedin and yeh idk so maybe that's what they mean with ''every endin has a new beginnin''

One of the theory is that the guy died in the gas station. When he's awake the saturation goes up right? It's like his afterlife with her. (The girl most likely still alive). Him being with her resonate with the lyrics; when a person wouldn't make it without the other. "Without you i wouldn't even be here" "Because of you i won't lose my way" "Don't let go because to me you are the last ray of hope". And right after he passed out you can see the girl's footsteps alone. For additional theory, in korea sometimes families release the person's ashes to the sea after the dead body is fully cremated. Where is the girlfriend's footsteps heading to? The Sea

The darker theory is that the girl commit suicide to be with him, so they're in afterlife together. This theory still fit in with the lyrics

Aww sad to lose you from Sungjin's lane but I really have no complaints cuz I'm OT5 all the way.

As for the song, damn. Their vocals took me to heaven, it makes me think that the couple actually died. This is just Day6 angels guiding them to heaven.

"Every ending is a new beginning, " to me means that they're about to start a new era. This album after all is the last of The Book of Us series. It's solo or subunit stuff from now on until they're all done with the enlistment probs so it'll probably be a while before we get another album with the full band.

i think the guy died at the station and then the footsteps at the beach maybe the girl ended her life too (suicide), and finally they reunited in the some kind of heaven and day6 members are the angels ahahaha i just made up i might be wrong...
