How to Program in C: Lesson 1 - Your First Program

This video is the second in a series of videos designed to teach the C Programming language. This language is a great first language due to it's relative simplicity. However, C is also a very powerful language with many possible applications.

In this lesson, I will guide you through writing your first C program! This program is a common one to start out with and is known as the "Hello, World!" program. After writing the program, we will then walk through each line of the program to understand what each piece is. After this lesson, you should have a better understanding of functions, statements, arguments, and escape sequences.

Sometimes seeing aspects of myself from a different perspective helps me to see the flaws as they are. Hopefully I can learn from this. I'm looking for more examples and I hate seeing them because I have to face things I don't want to. Everyone has a way to the strait gate though.

What is the software or program that you have used to program in this video? It is vim for mac? And if so, what version is it. I'm absolutely new to programming, and I have a mac. Please guide me :)
