The emotion this invokes…I can count on one hand the number of songs that hit me as hard as this one.

Why is it that to know love we must also know sadness? This whole album is a journey and not one recommended to take alone.

I love the juxtapositioning of hebrew and arabic, which carries it's own signifiers. The direct call to Israel is also relevant, given the situation in the middle east.

That line translates to God being one in the same, the line shows a difference in language, culture - though the belief is the same. The line is a neighbour, much like Israel and it's counterparts. It flows into one another, and the way Aaron delivers it is pure and humble and peaceful.

The band as well heightens this feeling of peace in that moment. The pulling of the guitar distortions, piano - a sense of silence and vibration at the same time.

I see MewithoutYou as a body of work, something to sit and analyse, and something to sit back and to just listen to.

This is majesty performed! I have been a huge fan of mewithoutyou since A/B Life. This is by far their best song. Beyond description. Ineffable. I can listen to it on repeat and only enjoy it more every time. Incredible!

maybe i'm hearing things but at 4:55 i hear what i imagine to be his father saying "baby boy" and it cuts deep every time.

It just really feels like they've gone back to their best sound, and that goes double for this track and Red Cow/Dorothy. The guitar riff at around 3:21 is so rough and nasty sounding (...which I personally love) - brilliant song, brilliant album, and brilliant band.
