Lionel Messi once sent 644 bottles of beer, to hundreds of goalkeepers, while still playing for Barcelona.

Messi did this in December 2020, in collaboration with Budweiser.

Sending hundreds of beers was Budweiser's way of celebrating Messi's 644 goals with Barcelona.

The number of goals helped La Pulga surpass Pele's goal record for Santos.

With 644 goals for Barcelona, Messi was the player with the most goals for one club at the time.

Messi's record inspired Budweiser, to produce 644 special edition beer bottles.

Each bottle had a number indicating the order of La Pulga's goals.

Hundreds of beers were then sent to 160 goalkeepers that Messi had scored against.

Former Valencia goalkeeper, Diego Alves received the most beer bottles as a gift, a total of 21 bottles, corresponding to the number of goals Messi scored against him.

Several top goalkeepers like Casillas, Jan Oblak, Kepa, and Buffon, also received gifts from Messi.

Casillas received 17 bottles, while Buffon received 2 bottles.
