I just can’t afford to support a $1000 graphics card. I was team Nvidia for a long time. I just got the AMD 7900xt for $650. I run a 1440p rig so that card gives me plenty of headroom for high settings and high frame rates.

not gonna pay 200 more dollars for 10 more pixels of relection on a puddle

Brain rot and over valuing ray tracing is what keeps NVIDIA at 80% market share. I bet most people would barely notice the difference between RT on or off

24 gigs of vram versus 16 gb on the 4080 super is phenomenal

If ur gonna get a rtx 4080 for upscaling, then dont get it

Bought a 6750 XT, Wukong benchmark proved it'll hold up for a decade or more (for my own personal needs)

It does outperform the 4080 super in 4k and I don’t care about some shadows or slightly better upscaling so I went xtx it helps that I got it for 900 dollars though

Its going to take ray tracing being playable at all levels before it becomes more than just a rich persons toy

7900xtx will most likely age better than 4080 super due to that vram difference, raw performance and AMD driver support till you become old compared to Nvidia

Remember when we compared cards at native with no bells and whistles on? just straight horsepower?

Pepperidge farms remembers.

Don't talk about up scaling when nvidea driver updates makes its gpu worst, while amd updates always seem to improve their gpus overtime

I'd say the 7900 XTX is WAY better than the 4090, just because it costs 1000€ less

I have a 7900 XTX and a 4090. I have played with them both in my computer, the 7900 XTX is within 3 frames on average of the 4090. Don’t listen to these guys. As someone who has both, get the AMD card. Price per frame is much better.

The prices will always make a gpu worth it yk what I mean

I want the 7900 xtx for vram heavy video editing. When it comes to that there's no better value

I think Nvidia bonuses like RT or DLSS 3 are actually worth it when deciding over a 4080 or 7900 XTX. The 7900 XTX only gets a little higher than a 4080 (sometimes lower) and the cheapest 4080 super is close in price to a 7900 XTX.

Nvidia glazers when people don’t want to pay a $300 premium for slightly better upscaling and overhyped ray tracing:

RT is STILL only worth using where you’ll actually notice it in a handful of AAA games (Cyberpunk, Alan Wake 2, Wukong, etc)

And then you realize the majority of the most popular games right now, including the steam list, don’t even support RT or DLSS of any form. So yea… Most people are going to buy the card with equal rasterization and lots more VRAM (24GB vs 16GB L Jensen), especially when it’s $300+ cheaper.

It may not be worth paying for but it's just good to see that upscalers and ray tracing are getting better over the years. Imagine in few years time dlss ultra performance looks like native and high ray tracing only cuts 10 fps.

I have gone through all the pain of being unlucky with an amd card… got myself a rx 6700 xt for 350$. I was so happy that it was a huge improvement from my old r7 290x and it was fine until it started overheating randomly, fans going up to 3k rpm out of nowhere, blue screens black screens and crashes multiple times a day and it was underperforming (the card was bought new from an authorized retailer). If i could go back in time i would of got an 3070ti or even a 4060ti cus its not worth the headache
