I managed to get 9.05 (so almost the claimed 9) in this car with the following. Obv the only one in it, 100 octanes gas, sunny weather with some heat, minimal time of warming the tires, city road, but properly maintained (flat as can be). I also switched of the traction control system. Launched it at about 2-2.5k rpm. Actually reached the 100km mark sometime early into 4th gear. No baggages in the car. I've come to the conclusion that to get the maximum torque to minimal wheelspin ratio(with or without traction control) you shouldn't over rev it, nor at the launch or while it's moving, since Toyota claims max torque kicks in at about 4.8-5k rpm. I'd say it's good at anything between 4.5-5.5k rpm. Not higher not lower. I believe with a bit of weight reduction (absolutely zero stuff in the trunk, 1/4 full tank because I was practically full, no windshield wiper fluid etc), a good decent service of the car and perfect conditions along with actually having gotten used to the car you can maybe get a sub 9 second 0-100km. Also to reach the real top speed (it really was the claimed 180km/h for me) you need to have lane assist completely turned off. I did it in a slightly desending road. Also heard other owners that (only with 6 speed manual gearbox e.g. like this video or mine) you can go even faster than that. I can't confirm it though because I hit the brakes soon as I saw 180km/h, since I was just testing it to see if it could infact do the claimed 180km/h.

I like the Yaris, since its first generation. I drove a lot of years ahí the 1.0 with 68 CV and the 1.3 and both were fantastic. The quality un the interior, may be the fail of the first generation has improved a lot in this car. Good test Joe!!!!

Nice, I was waiting this version's pov. It's interesting engine - non-turbo 1.5 at 2021 in Europe, but most reviews are about hybrid version

From a few runs with dragy gps, my best 0-100 was 9.81 sec with this car. (times are 9.81-10.36) If i remember correctly, it hits 100 kmph in second gear if you rev it, you dont need 3rd for that.
The 6.60 sec 80-120 also a great result from a car like this. It feels pretty nimble. Great little car for my wife. The long term avg consumption is ~6, 5 l/100km, in a city heavy use.
