When the Senegalese flashed on the screen, I cried! My first and only bird, Tango, was a rescued Senegalese. She was tortured by her mom, who chewed off Tango's toes and ripped out her feathers.

As a result, Tango wouldn't bond to a human and was just passed along to different homes until the rescue got her. My mom adopted her for the school office "ambassador, " although she ended up living with us.

She eventually bonded to just two people in her life: my mom... and me. My heart broke when we lost her! I've never been in the right place to adopt another, and it doesn't help that I only want another Tango. Well... To START!
