Part 2/3 of my 6 day solo hike on the Nootka Trail Vancouver Island British Columbia

The Nootka Trail is a 36 km trail located on Nootka Island, which is just West of Vancouver Island British Columbia. The Trail is listed as a "beginner" trail but the inland sections of this trail are very technical, as well as very poorly marked. The Inland sections I would struggle to visibly see the trail due to the dense foliage, the multiple unmarked intersections, as well as a plethora of fallen trees that to navigate. The trail is not a maintained trail, it is simply a path that someone at some point before you has walked. The beach sections or coastal portions we beyond beautiful. The beaches were either loose gravel, tide pools, cannon ball sized rocks, or a sandy beach (only one beach is sandy). I hit the weather lottery, as I had 20 degrees weather all week, blue skies, no clouds, and no rain. Considering this is hiking the West Coast, through a rain Forrest, this was very lucky!

Good series of vids. Thank you for the effort! Have been watching them for beta on our upcoming Nootka Island hike this August 2021. Don't know which way we will be hiking depending on Covid and whether Yuquot is open, so good to see the NoBo version. Looks pretty challenging. Would have appreciated a few more geographical references, especially water sources, but realize they may not be labeled on a map. Also would like to know where you camped each night. But really appreciate you taking the time to do this.
