As a real south Londoner, there is much more in south London than just social enterprises. Crystal Palace park for example is an amazing historic park with lots to see and do

Vauxhall and Battersea have some decent spots as well. South London is the best part of London in my opinion. It has the sights and life!

Okay Jess, this showcase is so near and dear to my heart and I can't wait to get to London so I can get to Brixton! The places you went to in this one was amazing, especially the coffee shop that donates their proceeds to ending homelessness. I was homeless for two years so knowing that when I come to Brixton, I can come buy some coffee, drink some and help save a life is suuuper exciting! The book shop is amazing as I have young people that I can get books for to learn about their heritage as well as learn about and appreciate other people that are different from them and appreciate being different! And Last but certainly not least!!!, Fish, Wings n Tings has been a major destination of mine since I started planning my trip, Brixton as a whole!!! So thank you for this video and thank you for all that you do for us. I've got a few more things to add to my guide book from you!! Be well, be safe and Cheers!!!

That's so sweet / good to know some cafes in London & Newport, Wales do donate their profits to end homelessness !!! We all should support / participate with the cafes & the movement !! Thank you for introducing the cafe to us ! 👍👍🇬🇧💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞

Brilliant stuff Jess - and that coming from a North London boy by origin! One very minor point ... "ting" is a Caribbean word for "thing" which has now added to vocabulary in the "Smoke" ... But for 'cor blimey' Cockneys its "Fings"!!!

Greenwich should have gotten a mention there's loads to do there; Cutty sark, Gypsy moth, loads of museums, Greenwich park, royal observatory, prime meridian, greenwich market plus you can get there by riverboat from central :)

Hi jess,
Tings is not a London slang word, it's actually a Jamaican, Caribbean slang word for things. And that how it got use in London.

I used to live in South London. Everything you need in South London can be found in Brixton if you ask me 😂 (I'm slightly biased... used to live there)

There is so much more to south London than showcased here. Battersea park, Vauxhall, tooting market, mercato metropolitano, northcote road and Wimbledon area

I just arrived in London yesterday! Staying until Sunday. I have watched several of your videos over the past few weeks. Went to the Tower of London today, and also checked out the Sky Garden:) Weather has been beautiful the past few days!

Just a small point: 'Ting, Tings' is actually a West Indian (particularly Jamaican) slang word. Also pronounced the same way by the Irish along with tree (Three). 😄 So, if you went to Brooklyn NY and spoke to West Indians (Jamaicans) you'll hear the same pronunciation. West Indian culture has played a big part in influencing the London slang culture in 21st century.
