At MakerLab, we empower the First Generation to use technology to solve real-world problems. One such example is the voice-activated prosthetic hand project. Conceived for our participation to the PlaisioBots: The Race 2.0 competition by Plaisio , this project showcases innovation and accessibility.

One of our students, Konstantinos, explains in this video how he created a 3D-printed prosthetic hand based on the InMoov open-source project, enabled by voice AI commands, to make it more accessible to a larger group of people.

As Konstantinos' team, RoboHandy, won the competition, they were awarded a trip to the CERN Institute.
