My children are 13. Last year one of their friends reached out to me for help due to SA from their grandfather. I IMMEDIATELY went to the authorities. I’m so heartbroken that the adults in Cindy’s life were not willing to do the same when this came to light almost 4 decades ago.

My husband molested my 2 daughters his stepdaughters in 1989. At the time he was meeting with our pastor for discipleship. He went to the pastor and told him at my insistence. The pastor did nothing but meet with us a few times. No one got any counseling. My daughter who was 11 at the time went to her school counselor and told him. He was charge with child molestation and did jail time. He was required to get therapy but my daughters and I got nothing. There were other types of abuse also. There is a lot more to the story this is just the tip of the iceberg. I finally went into counseling a year ago and was diagnosed with ptsd. Iwould say Mr. Morris has other issues, they usually do.

Morris was featured at Elevation often and always gave me the creeps!! His pressure to give money was astounding. Thank you Tim from the bottom of my heart for this community of believers, who refuse the false gospel perpetrated by evil and dangerous men!!

“I would end up being immoral” because “there was a curse on me.” The devil made me do it. Sure. Because your actions, Mr. Morris, certainly were not *your* responsibility. Had to be someone or something else, but certainly not the choice of your own free will. Must be nice being blameless. And love, love your explanation of severity of sins. Better watch out, now. You’re close to giving the Catholic explanation which defined *mortal sin* and *venial sin* centuries ago. You don’t use those terms, but that is what you’re explaining, beautifully explaining. Even if the girl was over 18, he would have still been in a position of authority over her and it would still have been questionable and inappropriate.

His public statement should have said “I molested a child when I was in my 20s and I continued to do so for 4 years and told her to stay quiet about it”. “ The “ I had an inappropriate relationship…..sorry…it doesn’t cut it, and isn’t a full honest confession and repentance
