I am a student of SKIF and have met and trained with Kancho many times and he truly has amazing Karate and his technique is so sharp and he truly is a gentleman and very humble person. Seeing him on Kuri Obi World and being recognised is fantastic. Hope him and Tatsuya Naka do a session together.

I attended many seminars of Hirokazu Kanazawa Sensei in the 90’s, he was a great person and charismatic teacher. I still have his books and DVD’s where he and his young son Nobuaki show kihon. So glad to see his tradition and karate live on! Ossu!

As a nidan in the mid-1980s, I was invited to participate in a one-week special training with Hirokazu Kanazawa Sensei when he toured the United States. This was in a small dojo just outside of Los Angeles. It was an amazing experience. After the last training, I shyly approached him to tell him how much the training meant to me. I also asked him to sign a copy of an old Black Belt Magazine in which he had been featured. I told him that I had also been training in Tai Chi and his eyes lit up! He said that it was always a pleasure to work with students who trained hard.
