Just finished this novel earlier tonight. Thanks for tapping out its main beats and highlighting some of the standout passages. Always great to dig into more Murakami when he publishes a new offering and I found Uncertain Walls to he an enjoyable read. Very much blended from previous works, as you pointed out, but that didn't bother me as its framework, characters and ideas felt warmly melancholic if sometimes just beyond reach-- the space in which Murakami, like his Dream Library egg, glows.
