Not sure how your computer is detecting the input, there is no input selection for a privia on audacity for me. I can only select microphones.

Hi, my audacity doesn't see the plugged in USB from my keyboard and keeps using the built in microphone instead of the cable. Do you know what can I do about this?

If connecting to an iPad, use a USB-B to Lightning cable.

That was very instructive. But some body says that we need jack-jack cable for the audio. They say usb-host cable just is for data from piano to computer. Do I must buy jack-jack cable or usb-host is enough for record?

So when i connected it it recorded bad quality sound and i could hear my fingernails tapping the keys. I tried many ways until i looked into settings and devices. It says my Arius ydp144 has a driver error. Sure enough, online there were driver download for my model. To look your model try to find combination of numbers and letters somewhere on your piano (mine was near the power button). after that i could record high quality sound. I think you said the spund wasnt perfect because it was the laptop built-in microphone that it used. So try see if my method works! i would like to know too if it works for other people

I followed all the steps, one thing is that it's recording my piano to its built-in microphone so it includes the surrounding sounds. Do you know how to record the piano only without the extra background noises? Or just recording the piano directly to the computer?

hmmm..isnt that cable just recording midi data from your keyboard...dont quite see how audacity could do amything with midi...anyway...to record audio from your piano you would go from aux out on your casio....btw nice video :)
