Here is a video of me comparing three Gibson prewar banjos. All of the details are included in the video. Let me know what you think.

3 sounds the most open, harmonically rich and present but 2 has that older choked sound that I really dig the most.

Always enjoy your videos Bryan. Keep it up.
I watched a couple times - and for most of the phrases #1 and #2 were almost identical to my ear. #3 stood out to me as being the most dynamic, but they are all so similar! You know how to pick them (both meanings of "pick").
Any plans to add an uncut style 1 (with brass hoop) to the lineup?

I like #2. Its got a cleaner, crisper sound. #3 would be my next choice.

They all sound great to me. If I had to pick one, I prefer the tone of #1 over the others, but it's close!

I prefer band on number two it is snotty banjo one is a little too bright and too much sustain banjo three almost sound muted of the neck

Man do you own all these banjos in your videos? If so, what on Earth do you do for a living? I think I like #3. Good job man!

Wow! You're spoilt for choice. I'd say no.1 but the others aren't far off.

#1 is the best sound. Thats my goal to get good enough and save up to buy me a banjo from JIm Mills
