After being accused of rape by a fellow Yale student, Saifullah Khan was acquitted of rape charges by a jury in 2018. But in a separate inquiry, Yale decided to kick him out. Connecticut’s high court ruled that Khan’s accuser is not immune from liability. Now, Khan is suing his accuser, known only as Jane Doe, and Yale over the allegations. Khan tells “On Balance” host Leland Vittert he “will stand for what is fair.”

"On Balance with Leland Vittert" takes a critical look at some of the day's hottest subjects. Weekdays at 7p/6C. #OnBalance

In other words, his life has been destroyed and the system in school violated every basic right as a student. This lawsuit is appropriate. If Yale was really smart, they would do everything to settle this they could.

He is suing because he has integrity. He is fighting for the establishment of the truth. 110 million is where it hurts. This is America.

This guy is a terrible interviewer. Asks questions and doesn’t let him answer. What a waste of time.

This reporter is out of his mind! Would he do what he is telling this young man? Yes, he should be compensated for the hell he was put through. Yes, he should sue their butts off. It will let these high-value colleges think twice before they rush to indict a person without all the facts.

Women who lie about this do a huge disservice to actual victims of rape. They should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Why does she still get to be Jane Doe as the defendant? People who make false allegations do not deserve this privilege. She is a victim of nothing, so why is her identity protected?

Move on? Once you're expelled from a university, that follows you for life and makes it very hard to attend another school.

The interviewer is absolutely awful! He can't hardly get a sentence out but keeps interrupting Khan who can obviously speak very well.

Since he faced prison and personal destruction over a false allegation, seems like the perpetrators should pay a price that will make them think twice in the future when they're preparing to burn a witch at the stake.
