Turkey is an important country archaeologically, so I hope it moves toward westernization. Troy/Illium (from the Illiad), the Hittite Empire, Göbekli Tepe (the largest early Neolithic settlement prior to Jericho), Çatahöyük (the first settlement to exceed 10, 000 people… 9000 years ago, around 3-4 times larger than Jericho and the largest known pre-civilization settlement). The Luwian culture, the Ionian Greek culture, the Roman and Byzantine Empires. There’s so much there. But the current government has been problematic, to say the least.

Turkey is Turkey. It's really not comparable to any other country. It's just trying to capitalize on what it thinks is the emerging multipolar world by flexing locally but earning diplomatic respect internationally. And no matter who gets the vote, that trend is not looking to stop. Turks might be divided on local politics but no viable candidate seems to wanna put a stop to the Neo-Ottoman ambitions of Erdogan.

Although the safest bet would be to assume that Turkey in 10 years would be Turkey there is an not insignificant chance that Turkey would be Russia as of today if the Great Leader steals the elections.
I don't think Turkey has a chance of becoming Iraq unless there's CENTCOM involvement if you know what I mean.
As for the other scenario of turkey dramatically improving, I can envision a future where the US Turkish relationships improve to the point where US uses Turkey as a leverage against France's European independence ambitions.

Turkiye is on its way to become a regional and global considering the Turkic countries organization in central Asia, military and naval agreement with Somalia, wining the Libyan proxy war, and recent Niger and Burkina Faso military agreements, nuclear reactor partnerships with Russia, recent BYD giga factory agreement with China, being the third best drone manufacturer in the world, and with Pakistan's immense solidarity to Turkiye that even reflect their flag, US attacking Turkiye could start a world war.

Erdogan is a brilliant leader while Kilictaroglu was merely a western puppet with fascist ideology of promising to deport Syrian refugees if he'd had elected - surely you didn't know that because western world wanted to eliminate Erdogan.
