I've been looking at the Revel. Pretty cool knife. I also spoke w Vincent Rizzo about his Grackle. I'm pretty sure I'll have one soon enough. Very cool blades, great video.

Thank you for reviewing the grackle. Bought one a few weeks ago and was looking really hard for a decent review. I agree with all your points, great knife, wish it was as a little thiner blade or maybe a hollow grind.

The lock bar cut out should always be on the inside. I have a handful of incredible knives that are pretty much unpocketable because of that exact design flaw. One of the things I keep in mind for when I start making knives.

I'm surprised you didn't figure out the Revel is front flippable. I am not ashamed to say I'm very attracted to this knife, and now with Magnacut!

Thank for the review and killer as always. I left the blade thickness due to it’s designed for heavy work. I had a hollow grind at first but thought people would snap the tip so went with flat in the end. And yep that’s the only color option there’s only 100 made as of now so one option only. Thanks again 👊🏼🏴‍☠️

The clip for the revel looks like it lands in a really bad spot, but it's a nice looking knife, especially this version!

Yea I've seen them. Their kind of like a Kizer or buying something like a Kubey. I stay away from ANYTHING that costs less than a couple hundred because you usually wind up with Chinese made mass produced knives that come with issues. I HEAVILY HEAVILY recommend, if your planning on buying a knife. Just save and buy quality. Stick with the KNOWN reliable brands like Chris Reeve, Demko, Custom Knife Factory, Shirogurov, Vero Engineering, Brown, Holt, Herman, SKIFF, Hog House, Oz Machine Factory, etc. With those brands you are never left wondering "why did I buy this" because it just feels like quality metal and components. The knife will always close perfectly and you can count on the heat treat being on point.

Artisan cutlery needs to stick to s90v. I'll take s90v over magnacut any day of the week.
