The name of Tupac Amaru Shakur is in honor of the last rebel Inca from Vilcabamba, one of the successors of Atahualpa. Tupac’s parents put him as a metaphor for his struggle against the system, since the real Tupac Amaru fought against the Spanish during colonialism.
