Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 VS Galaxy Z Flip 5 🤔

On one corner we have the Galaxy Z Flip6, what Samsung calls as the power of Galaxy AI right in your pocket. On the other we have last year’s Galaxy Z Flip5, probably the best change this lineup got, but back when AI wasn’t really much of a thing. Right now you’re looking at around $460 for a trade-in, so it truly begs the question if you should go ahead or wait it out. I’m Jaime Rivera with Pocketnow and let’s dive in to our comparison.

Why does EVERY tech reviewer make "should you upgrade" videos comparing the previous generation's phone when we should all know by now that 2 years is the MINIMUM in which anybody should even be CONSIDERING an upgrade (unless you're a tech enthusiast)? For instance, the Flip 6 is for current owners of the Flip 4 and older, not Flip 5 owners.

I live in the US and got a great trade-in offer to upgrade from the Z Flip 5 to the Flip 6. At first I regretted it, but after a week I’m glad I did. What’s better: more ram, better battery, almost no crease and much better cameras. What’s worse: I don’t like the colors of the camera lenses (wish they were still black) and don’t care for the sharp edges and no progress on making the cover display more useful without using Good Lock.

I had the z flip 4 and 5 for a year each and never had a single issue with either of them . I’m expecting more on the 6! Samsung z flip for lyfe dawg

I was not going to upgrade from the 5 to the 6... but Spectrum has a pretty killer deal right now with extra bonus cash... so I am getting $950 for my flip 5 trade in... plus adding a line so I get a line for free. So, for the next year, my cell bill will only be 30 bucks a month for 2 lines unlimited. Pretty stellar...

Last year they offered me about 450 to upgrade. I returned the flip 5. This year they offered me 490. They fixed the issues that I had from the 5 (battery, cameras, and it feels more durable). Perhaps it’s country specific but I’m not seeing a huge price increase like people are saying, especially in this economy. Sadly, a lot of people in the comments are parroting other tech YouTubers and not doing the digging for themselves.

As i've said in many similar videos, i've got no problem with a hundred dollar increase as I feel the internal upgrades justify it. My gripe is the absolute kick in the nuts we got this time around on trade in values. I went ahead and did it anyway to have max trade in value for the flip seven, hoping they'll realize their mistake and bump the trade in values back up in 2025.

From the Flip 5 probably not. From older Flips it's definitely worth the upgrade.

Ehh, I don't notice much of a difference between the 6 and 5. Only reason why I upgraded is for the ram
