Just like his character Ron, Rupert Grint has such a severe case of arachnophobia that he still hasn't seen the entire scene where Ron and Harry were in Aragog's hollow. Those frightened looks and uncomfortable squirms in the scene were not an act; they were Grint's genuine reaction to just the thought of spiders. Slugs, on the other hand, do not scare him at all. In an interview, he revealed that the slugs he coughed up were fake slugs with different flavored slime and claimed they tasted delicious.
