Sad to say....I've actually done something similar to this! I used to live in a very small apartment with next to no storage space. I would store everything in plastic totes. One time, I ran out of room and put a storage tote in my living room, put a long table cloth over it and boom! Coffee table! LOL! I now live in a bigger place, and have watched plenty of decluttering videos so as to not let that happen again. =)

I totally clear my kitchen island & coffee table (mothers of all hot spots) into a huge bag and toss in an upstairs closet. Time to focus on food, clean hand towels and a quick vacuum.

Those mountains of cleaned but not sorted laundry - my mom used to get them. My grandma never did. As I mainly grew up with my grandma I adopted her habits. My sister did not. She got imprinted by mom.
