It's disgusting how some people think they're entitled to your money. I can start to understand why rich people act like they're broke. When people know you have money, they want it. Even your "friends" expect you to pay for everything.

My niece and her hubby won $40 M in the 90s. They did everything that your video warned about should not do. She was an RN and he was a hair cutter. They moved to my city in Illinois at the time, Orland Park, and bought a house in one of its wooded subdivisions with high walls all around. Other than that they lived a nondescript life. Twenty years later they're doing fine without killing each other or going into financial dissolution as most winners you described have gone through. So it is a matter of a reasoned and well-balanced mindset that makes a difference in saving your winnings or losing them all. You cant control others from reacting to your change of status but you can decide how you are going to manage your life in response to people's normal reactions to your sudden and dramatic change in financial status.

The main problem is that people know the winners!!! Thankfully, in Italy (my country) the winners stay anonymous, we just know the city/town the ticket has been sold... I'm shocked in some countries you are required to advertise it. I mean... just expect a bunch of "long-lost cousins" and "friends" popping out of nowhere and asking you for money, be ready to be called "selfish" whenever you don't offer, being a date or a family reunion... To not even mention how dangerous it could be, epecially if you live in a poor/ 'difficult' area. That's unfair for the winner 🙄

In the United Kingdom winners can choose to be anonymous, and The amount of winnings
isn't taxable, a winner get to keep the lot, However once you have deposited the funds, you
pay taxes on the interest, or if you give any of the winnings as a gift, you'll have to pay tax on
that gift, if you're a UK resident, you're exempt from paying the following tax on your lottery
winnings, Capital Gains Tax, Income Tax, Or National insurance Tax,

Rather than income, participating in the lottery counts as gambling in the UK according to
Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs ( HMRC ),

Here in the UK we get the full amount our lotto winnings are tax free and you just get it in a lump sum.

When you win the Lotto in Australia it is tax free, but once you invest it you pay tax on the interest
