DANGER - 2015 Corvette AMSOIL 75W-90 Differential Fluid Change

Back with Dangerous Dans 2015 Corvette Stingray 8-speed automatic doing a rear differential fluid change with AMSOIL Severe Gear 75W-90 GL5 100% Synthetic Gear Lube. The differential capacity is close to 3 qts.

Some people say it's dangerous to not use the General Motors recommended "special" gear lube ACDelco dexron LS 75W-90 however Dan decided to try the AMSOIL Severe Gear 100% SYNTHETIC 75W-90 GL-5. Dan and I are happy with the way the rear differential feels and I have done around 50 differential fluid changes with AMSOIL Severe Gear Lube and never had one differential chatter. If you're differential is chattering you need to add the slip lock additive to get it to stop chattering and if it doesn't stop chattering you may be using the wrong fluid type specs for your application.

If you're driving aggressively it would be best to change the rear differential fluid every 20,000 mi.

What a waste of fluid.... Just fill it level to begin with and when it starts to drip out, you're done. Plus, aren't you supposed to use friction modifier? Isn't that the reason that Amsoil themselves do not show any fluid recommendation for the C7 diff?

why do you put the jack stands under the control arms ? and not closer to the middle ? I've read that it's not ok to do it in this way

I love amsoil gear oil I use 75w-140 I saw valvoline is starting to use the easy pack when I was in autozone the other day 😱
