This is a fascinating compilation of Paul's vocal evolution over the years. I think it's amazing that, until the 2014 clip, there is almost no obvious "decline" in his rendering of the song. That's a span of 52 years from the first clip from 1962! Paul continues to sing his songs in the same keys that they were written - which is unheard of in the annals of rock singing. Artists simply lower the keys as they get older in order to accommodate their vocal abilities. Not Paul! He is, to me, not only the greatest songwriter of all time, but the greatest rock singer of all time as well. His range, and facility to sing in any style, is unmatched!

After '66, Paul forgot how to play the bass without looking at the frets much of the time.
Usually people get better the more they play but Paul got worse and forgot where his fingers go when playing. Just kidding, he didn't get worse, it's a different guy all together.
