One of the reasons that the Europeans were able to colonize Africa was because there were few real "countries", instead there were many small "kingdoms" ruled by chiefs where the next kingdom over might speak a different language and be a rival or enemy. The question would be, how long would this continue, or would there eventually be another version of Shaka Zulu who would start conquering these smaller kingdoms and consolidating them into a larger empire. The second question is how this consolidated empire would be run - would it be a dictatorship with the dominant cultural/language group running things at all governmental levels or would this be a more democratic society where one's culture / background was not an issue. Finally, did the extreme corruption that we see holding back Africa today begin with colonization, or was it there at some level all along and would be a problem even if Africa had never been colonized?

You should do this for Europe. How developed would it be if the continent hadn’t been conquered occupied colonised and exploited by the Romans for hundreds of years! They’d be even more advanced if they had been free!
