It bothers me more than anything that she said this to meredith in a time she was making it clear to George she was hurt that they kept not including her or making her feel welcome. The second they tried, she pulled this. I love Callie but this was not one of her finer moments.

I hate when people belittle anyone, but over someone they love is heart wrenching! A pet No matter what species it is. If that person loved them then It Matters! Doesn't matter if you think it's silly, be a good person. Always choose kindness and understanding. You never know what people are going through. Or how something that seems so small to you can be the world to them. Treat people better than you treat yourself. We grow from Love and Pain. Dogs mean so much more than most human patients do. They are the kindest creatures to exist, and my dog has helped me through hell. Callie messed up - big time. 🐶😭💕

I know that to most people our animal companions don’t seem worth it. But I can testify to the highest degree that my dog has saved my life everyday for the last 12 years. Without fail. When he leaves this earth, I will be shattered.

At the end, Callie _DOES_ help Meredith. And she isn't nice to Mer because Derek was supposed to work out things with Addison and not being with Mer.
Plus, Ortho is always disregarded as carpentry. We see Callie struggle to get ORs, and being shooed out when other specialties come in.

She is feeling like Meredith doesn't respect her specialty or her (like the others) by asking that and she feels like Meredith shouldn't come to her for help seeing how she is treating her friend !

*But at the end of this episode, she helps Meredith and talks to her like she would talk to a patient's family : with **_empathy_** and **_carefulness._*

Mer truly love Doc so much in the short time she had him and even though he wasn't the best dog as she had said you get to see how much he means to her when she "died", I like Callie but this was not cool
