This game is super f2p friendly, the lower star units (3*) don't have the best active skills and chain combos, but make up for that with ridiculously high stats (iirc that one blue colour black wolf knight guy thing had 800+atk at lvl30 without ascension). All units are pretty viable and they can vary greatly depending on your team comp. Overall, water is the most f2p friendly for now, thunder is really strong and so is fire, with forest unfortunately being the weakest. A tip is to make mono colour teams (so 4x thunder or 4x fire) as this makes the strongest team with some converters on your team.

Tl:dr
Game is f2p friendly, most units viable, mono team good, forest is weakest

Edit: forest is now decent assuming you have a good quantity of forest converters but there are some limits as compared to other elements
Edit 2: I've reached the endgame with ascension 3 characters, and i take back everything i said about forest being bad, istg half the strong units have forest either as their main or sub element

This game is shockingly good. I don’t really even feel pressured to spend anything on the already very good monetization, but yeah it’s unexpectedly good in both gatcha and gameplay

We always complain about the resin/stamina systems. But thanks to that mechanic, we are able to discover many other gacha games. And, honestly, playing more than one gacha games for a day (supposing that you are at the end-game and doing only dailies) is 'in my experience' less time consuming than other games like moba games etc.
