Oh my gosh! Today my daughter tried to show me this movie ‘Family”; after the first 30 minutes, I began to feel sick just seeing what they’re feeding the public, just like that “Handmaids”. She saw a bit of it and immediately understood where it was coming from. I’m disturbed by both popular films. Both these shows act as if the word is just for men and elites, for power. Gods Word to believers today is not according to pious works nor mans fleshly power but faith in the full atonement for all of humanity that understands and believes. I also see they really push Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in the “Jesus’ name, but not the true one. I don’t watch much tv, but I don’t ever want to see this show in my home.

Well done. Yes, Calvin was a dictator. As a good friend of mine has pointed out, Calvinism thrived in the US in the 19th century because it went hand in glove with Manifest Destiny. Sometimes I'm at a loss as to whether all those Bible stories were true, but I'm very comforted by your staunch faith that there will be a Second Coming and His Kingdom on Earth.

Bruh you’d have to be an actual narcissist to be a Calvinist. Imagine thinking God only saves certain people (even though His Word clearly says otherwise), and then just ASSUME you’re one of them! Give me a friggin break.

Hey Renee I just had to pause you as “disturbing” is exactly the same word I would use to describe “the family” which after only watching 2 episodes felt more like a cult to me and also reminded me of the equally disturbing “The Family’ like understanding of God’s Word in “A Handmaids Tale” <shudder>

Yeah this is the Dominionism stuff that's very similar if not related to the n a r Seven Mountains dominionism. It's a legitimate Force. But the problem is this documentary concerns me because for the non-Christian viewer There's no distinction between this and what we are ... this is coming out of the same time as the movie The Hunt and a lot of other things that indicate that we are probably going to see some very Troublesome times for Christians shortly

I often wonder if president Donald Trump is in this cult since he will not speak words of life when asked about his "Christian" beliefs. He says he's a Christian, but he's never said he puts his faith in Jesus alone for salvation. I think a lot of us forget to pray for our president. We think about us and our loved ones so much that we just forget. That's something I've noticed a lot of us Christians fail at.

Have you seen a movie called Hardcore from 1979. It stars Season Hubley and the late George C Scott. George C Scott's character was a strict Calvinist. Its quite interesting how they portray Calvinism in a movie like that.

I love you in the Lord sister but just like you don't like ppl labeling your teachings (what the bible teaches) "greasy grace" or "easy believism" and "cheap grace" you are wrong for labeling us Calvinists the way you do. This doesn't have anything to do with the video, but I'm seeing another video in my suggested feed about "true repentance." Of course it being about the act of turning from sin, and all I'm seeing in the comment section are people repenting daily. Anyone else just get infuriated seeing all these people that just don't....understand? They just don't fully comprehend what was accomplished on the cross. I just wish that these brothers and sisters in Christ had peace, instead of being so sin conscience. :/
