I would honestly love The Military Appreciation month to get more attention. But on the same note, I would prefer it to remain a quiet, respectful month and not see corporations turn it into a commercial blight as they've done with Pride.

Candice is a little too radical right for me. This is a fine example of why. That said, I feel like a lot of people *don't* know about May. I think it's something we need to start lifting up. I also spend June talking about Mens Mental Health. Pride doesn't even blip my radar anymore.

What does it really mean to have an entire month dedicated to celebrating sexual preference and identity? There are many important issues facing the country and “sexual pride”isn’t even in the top 50. Not many Americans are going to spend an entire month thinking only about sexual identity issues. It’s ridiculous.

Yea, she's making a false comparison there that doesn't make much sense, feels like pandering to frustrated conservatives. Frankly, this whole "month of this" and "month of that" seems absurd to me. There are so many important aspects to life and only 12 months afterall. That's why we usually just get one day for each thing to remind people of something annually.
