In my personal experience, I say not the quick/fast charging but the heat that comes with the quick/fast charging is what really degrades the battery. I have an iphone 7plus that i used for almost 4 years with the adapter(5Watt) and cable that comes with it. And after 4 years, the battery percentage on my 7plus has gone down to 86%. Now, i have an iphone 11pro, which is obviously a replacement for my 7plus that I’ve been using for a year now with the adapter(18Watt) and cable the comes with it. And i just noticed that in just a year, the battery of my 11pro has degraded to 84% compared to my 7plus that took 4 years to degrade to 86%. And to be honest, i was actually harsher to my 7plus cause i remember watching movies and gaming with it while it was charging. I never did that to my 11pro. Hence I started watching this kind of videos.

Hey, I know you're paranoid about your iPhone's battery but...

Don't worry about Battery Health so much, You have your iPhone, enjoy it, use it whenever you want, and charge it whenever you feel like as the apple site says. After all, that is what a smartphone is for.

It's very sad and painful issue because everyone says something else.
We will never know what really going on with our battery, it's a completely mystery.
BUT, thank you anyway Daniel.

Great explanation on the battery 🔋 health !! Basically every time you charge the battery it eventually gets worn out over time no matter how well you take care of it and there is nothing you can do about it short of replacing the batteries.
I have the iPhone 8 and my battery health is only at 81% now. My phone is over 3 years old so that is to be expected.
Great 👍 video !!

It’s actually good to always keep the main apps you use on a daily basis open because it takes a lot more out of your phone to restart and reopen that app

You should get at least 100 million views. A must view for ALL IPHONE users. Simply put "the more you use it, the less you get in battery capacity". 1% drain a month for average users. Thanks.

Actually you can affect the health by keeping it charged between 20 and 90 percent. The thing that damages the battery the most is discharging it to 0% and the second demaging thing is to charge it to 100% this causes the full or almost full cycle, if you charge your phone from 15 to 85 it causes way less cycles - about 0.6 or so

This was probably the best advice I’ve heard in my life

My issue is I bought a new iphone 11 recently my batter maximum capacity is still at 100% and like you mentioned my charging doesn’t exceed 80% but since this system started My phone has not given me 100% please how do I charge it to 100%?

If the iPhone 12 comes with a USB C charging cable, Apple suggests their 20w charger. However this is considered fast charging.

I assume Apple says it’s ok to charge with this combo?

Also some say ONLY use usb c / 20w charging when you need it not as your only charging means. And if you’re charging overnight use usb a / 5w charging.

What’s your take on this?

You’re saying charge at your will but the apple support guy told me it’s not recommended to charge above 80%
I’m confused now

5:40 so what do u mean? When your battery reaches 80% or 95 96 97 98% we should unplug coz you’ve just said that keeping it to a hundred percent can damage battery 🔋 ?? If that’s the case why others says that it’s ok to charged and leave your phone while charging overnight ??? That’s 1 cycle already

Yeah. When I received a new iPhone 11 I took them home and unpack it carefully. I used the exact charger that it comes with in the box. Everything was going well. 📲

Does the "Optimized Battery Charging" that doesn't charge fully when is being charged overnight works when the phone is turned off?
