Well they are the same person, Vader just had to alter his fighting style a bit to compensate with the reduced mobility of his suit. That and the suit was designed to be painful as shit so theres that too.

I don't know why Disney insists on turning lightsaber from powerful weapons into nothing more than plasma baseball bats, Luke is the only character that ever attacked like that before and it was during a single fight against Vader himself because he threatened Leia. Vader has always shown to be way more skillful of a duelist than that, even when full of rage like Luke was at the time. How the quality of lightsaber fights have fallen.
