Having geo-referenced positioning on Foreflight or GPS airport charts on panel has been a godsend, especially at unfamiliar or complicated airports and figuring out where you are (and where you are trying to go), especially at night. I remember one day a long, long time ago flying solo as a low time VFR pilot into SFO in a small GA airplane to pick up a corporate pilot and receiving very complicated ground taxi instructions ("Exit RW 1R at Foxtrot, hold short of RW 1L, Taxi via Alpha, inner to outer at Delta, etc...). Trying to comply with all this using a small paper taxi chart (think the old AOPA Flight Guide size) trying to figure out where the heck I was, all the while keeping away from jet blast of taxiing 747s who were likely scoffing at my very presence. Fortunately, it all worked out great and even got a "thanks for your cooperation" from ground control.

Thank you for all of the videos! I’m a student pilot and they’re super helpful/encouraging. If you’re looking for video ideas, I know one similar to this but on what all the different lights on taxiways and runways mean would be super helpful. Thanks again!
