The Ferrari of Motorcycles - MV Agusta 500 Three - Isle of Man TT

Giacomo Agostini, Mike Hailwood, Joey Dunlop, John McGuinness. The Isle of Man TT is like nothing else on earth. A true throwback to what racing originally was. Fast flat-out competitions on open roads, no safety to speak of. Although the Snaefell Mountain Circuit has been recreated for a few sims, the true way to experience the Isle of Man and appreciate everything it is about is on two wheels. Isle of Man TT Ride on the Edge 2 is a sim which came out in 2020, and in my opinion does everything right when it comes to replicating the feel of the TT. Motorcycle sim racing is rewarding, challenging and most importantly a fun change of pace from the normal. Lapping something as beautiful as the MV Agusta is just the cherry on top.

A first for me to do something on two wheels, I hope everyone enjoys!

I had the honor to meet and personally talk with the legend of two-wheels motorsport, Agostini, at the Varano de Melegari autodrome here in Italy. A great rider and a great person as well, like all the good ol' gentleman racers of 60s and 70s...

I go the TT every year and have had the pleasure of riding the mountain section without speed limits on my CBR1000RR. It's a strange feeling legally whizzing past a police car at the Bungalow at 100mph. They make it one way from Ramsay to Creg Ny Ba but there's always still accidents. Love the channel, man and I'd love to see more 2 wheeled content.

When Mike Hailwood rode for MV Count Agusta paid him a retainer every year do drive the F1 car he always spoke of building but never did. A Formula One MV Agusta, would love to have seen, and heard, that!

My first exposer to "THE ISLE OF MAN TT"?
Suzuki Superbikes 1 and 2 for the PS2
made by Jester/Valcon Games in the early 2000's....
Love popping in the fist one (disc game) and taking a lap around the iconic circuit; very

MV Agusta is really more like Maserati. Once great, a hero of the vintage era, but only fringe relevance today. A brand that is actually more similar to Ferrari would be Ducati

Whew...what a run! You said it won't be too fast and this is, with all due respect, not a fast bike, but I still felt like I had to sweep some flies off my glasses at the end.

Whoa - what a treat! I got scared just watching this video. Cannot believe they are really still racing there.

Wow, the air wooshing through and enveloping the helmet is very well simulated.

Oh my heart you crossed over to motorcycle racing and did it justice! You’re very knowledgeable and can speak authoritatively about this awesome circuit while riding and not crashing. Holy hell man, mad respect. I love your channel, keep it up!

What a great showcase of this track and game, thanks. 5 people dead during this years Isle of Man TT. Can you believe that in 2022? I think this game will become a historical snapshot of an extinct race very soon. Never underestimate the right of a man to die pointlessly for sport, and inflict huge pain and suffering on his family. 2022 era motorcycles are just not compatible with 1800 era walled lanes and villages.

Watching the bike go through the tunnels of trees lining the straights was absolutely mesmeric and hypnotic.
Playing this circuit on a gamepad is tough enough - imagine what could be done with a full motorbike sim rig. I wonder if such a thing is available, short of re-engineering an old Super Hang-On arcade cabinet.

Gotta leave a belated thank you. Would have never tried my wheel on a motorcycling game, but it controls great! Way better than with a controller. Really enjoying finally learning the Mountain Course by heart.

This…. This was a gift from god. After suffering from heat exhaustion from moving my fully furnished apartment and sweating through a comforter and dry heaving all night. I’m blessed with a GPLaps video helping me recover that’s also showcasing the legendary Guy Martins playground. I can’t begin to thank you enough.

Ps: I’m getting Mike Gardiners book as well, that will be such a fascinating read when it arrives!!!

Now yer talkin'! I love the TT. I currently own a Triumph Daytona 675R. Defending supersport champion at the tt. :) No one knows what exhilaration is, until you do 160mph on 2 wheels, that only has the grip the size of 2 or 3 fingers wide. Jacob, you did a great job of explaining how a bike is ridden.

If TrackDayR is able to get Jim Pearson’s IOM with his blessing into the game and it’s as open to mod support as it’s shaping up to be, I like to think we will be able to do proper classic races on the TT in a few years, one can only dream!

I’m now totally convinced that I would never want to ride a motorcycle above 70mph. That stuff is just mental!
