The composition Comments on a theme for alto saxophone consists of an original theme made up of six periods and a set of six "comments". Each "comment" is considered as a developmental variation exploiting the structural possibilities of each individual period. The last two "comments" are joined together. The theme can be played either at the beginning or at the end of the composition. The inspiration comes from the poem Dream undreamed by Fernando Pesoa.

To έργο Comments on a theme για άλτο σαξόφωνο είναι ένα πρωτότυπο θέμα που αποτελείται από έξι
περιόδους και ένα σύνολο έξι “σχολίων”. Κάθε
“σχόλιο” αντιμετωπίζεται ως παραλλαγμένη ανάπτυξη
(του πρωτότυπου) αξιοποιώντας τις δομικές δυνατότητες της κάθε περιόδου. Τα τελευταία δύο “σχόλια” παρατίθενται ενωμένα. Το θέμα μπορεί να παιχτεί είτε στην αρχή είτε στο τέλος του έργου.
Η σύνθεση είναι εμπνευσμένη από το ποίημα του Fernando Pesoa Dream undreamed.
