Buying a used Renault Zoe? Check the headlight mountings!

When looking at used Renault Zoe's, check for front impacts as the headlight brackets can break. Even the slightest impacts which do not damage the front bumper, can break the headlight mounting brackets, resulting in an expensive repair.

U can buy headlight mount repair kit instead of complete light unit. U can see those screw holes next to original mounting 🙄

Thanks for the video... Do we really need to buy a new headlight? On YT there are videos of people repairing headlight mountings with somekind of resin. They repaint it and it looks almost like new, with no play... Doesn't that work with all plastic?

Quite right but takes over 6months for headlight to come from France.Think mg better for parts

Hi Matt, do you have a source of replacement brackets, that is not main dealer. Somebody who 3D prints them or even Chinese copy brackets. I have a 2021 ZE50

I have bought a Zoe that the previous owner had a minor accident with. The bumper clips you are talking about seems to be missins, since the bumper comes out a little where they meet the front wings. I already tried to search for it online and haven't found wich clips I need to order. Do you know what sort of clips Renault used to recure the bumper to the front wings?

Super glue them back into position then use a soldering iron to stitch weld them together for stregnth. Its realy easy and it saved me £1500 for a Nussan Leaf unit.
No wonder insurance is sky rocketing up. A tap can cost thousands in broken plastic. Its a rip off

Great advice.I looked at a Zoe yesterday that was for sale and both headlights had botched repairs and the bumper had popped out against the left wing.I just walked away.
