REAL LOVE VIDEO

She Loves You. New live mix:

The next John Lennon demo released!

Now and Then's eventful journey to fruition took place over five decades and is the product of conversations and collaborations between the four Beatles that go on to this day. The long mythologised John Lennon demo was first worked on in February 1995 by Paul, George and Ringo as part of The Beatles Anthology project but it remained unfinished, partly because of the impossible technological challenges involved in working with the vocal John had recorded on tape in the 1970s. For years it looked like the song could never be completed. But in 2022 there was a stroke of serendipity. A software system developed by Peter Jackson and his team, used throughout the production of the documentary series Get Back, finally opened the way for the uncoupling of John’s vocal from his piano part. As a result, the original recording could be brought to life and worked on anew with contributions from all four Beatles. This remarkable story of musical archaeology reflects The Beatles’ endless creative curiosity and shared fascination with technology. It marks the completion of the last recording that John, Paul and George and Ringo will get to make together and celebrates the legacy of the foremost and most influential band in popular music history.

I enjoy this version and clever use of an old performance synchronized to the beat.

I'm 70 yo. We were caught with this fad by the fab four. The new song fits rightly in the 60s. Mesmerizing. John, Paul, George, and Ringo in the video, their moves, lips, instruments playing, almost are in sync with the music. Acceptable to me as real 😅. I'm having fun.

Wonderful “Merseybeat” feel to it. Great job! I love that we’re all having fun (discussing, dissecting, playing) with this last gift given to us by the Beatles.

I wish we were back in those times. Must have so exciting. Not the best Beatles song but it has the life and passion missing from pop today. Love this version!

Amazing how this song can transcend time and be in both periods at once by simply changing the tempo!

I must admit that as an only child growing up in the sixties, I used to imagine that John Lennon was my older brother. His most positive qualities rubbed off on me. Especially, fearlessness and honesty. As the times changed, and without Lennon's vast wealth, collosal talent and incredibly fame; this lead to various 'problems'. Similar to what he'd have experienced, I think, if he'd not been such a success with the Beatles. What would have happened to him if he'd not made it as a musician? Lennon teaching in some school in Liverpool and playing in local clubs at the weekend? But even all his talent and fame, didn't protect him from the assassin's bullets in the end. Fortunately for me, I inherited money and a few houses from my grandfather's estate, which meant that having modeled my behaviour and attitudes from my fantasy 'older brother' I never had to 'bend' very much and lived my life, high and dry, mostly.

That was amazing! I love how you used several sound elements and little riffs from those early song. Right from the beginning they were playing with sounds and chords to make their music special. And you've made something very special here. And what a great job timing the cuts on the video to the song. It must have taken you hours just for that. Thanks for doing this project. I have a feeling it was a labor of love, love, love.
