Këkht Aräkh: Pale Swordsman -- ALBUM REVIEW
Показать описание
Welcome to the official J Morris the Review Guy album review for the second studio length album by one metal Ukranian black metal project Këkht Aräkh, entitled Pale Swordsman!
Album genre type: Black metal, lo-fi black metal, melancholic black metal.
The first record on Livor Mortis to come out of Crying Orc's canon, this melancholic take on black metal will dazzle many of those that've become sick of the current scene and wish for a more genuine take on the past. If that sounds like you, you will be VERY happy to find out that Pale Swordsman is an organic and very natural revival. I would not be shocked to find out this record was from the 90's Norwegian scene.
While it has a bite that is more than familiar at times, it's archaic and legendary and olden. The wintry atmosphere is incredible.
While it is not the best thing you will hear this year, it is up there as one of the greatest records black metal has to offer this year, without a doubt.
This album is available now on Livor Mortis!
My favorite songs on this album are:
Thorns - In the Garden - Nocturne - And the Stars - Lily - Crystal.
My least favorite songs on this album are:
Swordsman
