I'm Sick of My Mom's Weird House Rules - What Should I Do?

I’m Sheila. For years, I’ve been following my mom’s ridiculous rules. But I’ve had enough. Every family has rules. For example “Do your homework on time,” “Don’t eat in front of the computer,” “Turn off the lights when you leave the bathroom.” These rules are normal and I agree that they should exist. I wish our rules were like that. But my mom’s rules are irrational, illogical and totally meaningless.

I would absolutely reach a Breaking Point if I had to put up with any ridiculous rules for years and years. That would be a nightmare for me. That will affect me emotionally, mentally and personally.

How can you keep your calm? If I were you, I would be fighting with my mum, shouting at the top of my voice. I respect how you can be so patient.
You should definitely have a psychologist observe her. There was probably some issues that upset her in her childhood and now she can’t get over them.
