iPhone 15 Pro Max Fine Woven Case, WHY ALL THE HATE?!

So Apple decided to ditch the official leather case for the new iPhone 15 lineup and replaced it with the Fine Woven case. Since its release, this case has been getting so much negative coverage that I decided to grab one and see for myself and I have to honestly say, its not that bad! Only time will tell how this material wears over time!

I think another problem with this case is that it's priced the same as a leather case from Apple, and a good chunk of people who have bought Leather cases before find this finewoven case inferior in quality. It's not the worst case in the world, but I think under that audience I can understand the hate.

I’m using this case right now and I’m loving it. Super comfortable to hold, much lighter than leather, and plenty robust for drop protection. Recommend you try it for yourself and return it if you really hate it, instead of immediately rejecting it because of bad reviews!

I agree, I’ve been using this case since its came out and it’s actually not that bad. Feels good in the hand. Still miss the leather cases from Apple tho.

I ordered one because I always order a leather case every year for my new iPhone from Apple, but after two days I had to return it. It just looked terrible, scratched up super easily and honestly felt really cheap and is not worth anywhere near what they’re asking. The leather case was actually premium and felt premium. This just feels like junk.

I have the Evergreen Finewoven case with the Blue Titanium iPhone 15 Pro Max. It has a unique texture that I really like and looks premium. I dropped my phone onto concrete when I was sitting down and it has left some small dents in the material, so it's probably not as durable as leather or silicone. It hasn't happened yet, but I think the worst thing about the case is that sticky dirt or food may get trapped in the fibers, which will be hard to clean.

I ordered one after the event and got really worried after everyone started to make videos trashing the case. It doesn’t feel as premium as leather but thankfully it still feels great. Honestly, people just like to create drama and scandals for clicks and likes.

I like my Taupe, the wear has been minimal and it still looks great. I'm ok with the sides, it actually is the same fine woven material but they coated it with an epoxy that makes it feel plastic like... apple did it to prevent staining of the parts you touch the most. I'm still undecided if I would ever buy another (and suspect the drama this year means Apple will abandon the design for next year) but its been WAY better than the folks who intentionally damaged their brand new cases made it out to be.

I bought the new wallet made with the same material, in dark blue. It’s honestly a great little accessory and looks classy and elegant, also holds 3 cards from the get go. It’s one week old and sometimes it gets marks, but it goes away. Really happy with it so far.

Great video Tee. I’m glad someone said it, we don’t know about the long term durability yet. It’s new. I’m just sticking with my spigen ultra hybrid clear case for my 15 plus personally.

No doubt that leather is better. But I really liked the case and how light it is. Amazing buttons to be honest perfect. Also not sure what material the sides are but they are very smooth which is nice. Overall happy with it and doesn’t add bulk.

Complains about people complaining that the case get scratched (because that is what a case is for) but also complains about the sound a case makes when you take it off or put it on. While that is not what the case is for 😁.
And apparently the sides are also finewoven material. But different.

I got the FineWoven case for the iPhone 15 Pro and I will return it. Not due to what most people complain about, though: durability seems good, as well as the feel (it’s okay). The rim is also FineWoven with a coating. Fabric seems very durable and washable.
However, my unit has misaligned buttons and cutouts. It also creaks. Action button wobbles, volume down doesn’t have a detent and is too easy to press. Volume up is normal. Same for power. USB cutout is misaligned and barely accommodates the stock cable, and cuts into my pinkie.
Seams are also misaligned. One side cuts into the hand unlike the other.
I loved Apple’s leather cases despite them not having great patina. I am very sad now. Ordered the Mujjo leather case instead. Will probably never go back to Apple cases ever again in my life, unless they bring leather back or do something incredible with them.

this is not a $60 case, i had the leather case for the 13 and it was awesome even though it turned black on the corners after a year, this is just a cheap case that apple is charging way too much for

The issue is not about the case, it’s that Apple charging leather price on a recycled piece of plastic.

I have the case and have been using it for a week. I love the feel and look. It has held up fine. Of course I haven’t tired to ruin it like some of the haters. I’m liking it. And the MagSafe is great!

I disagree with your comment about the sides of the phone case. It doesn’t feel cheap at all. It actually feels premium. I’ve never felt a material like the material used on the side of the fine woven case. Everything about the case feels premium!! I will agree that the magnets are super strong 💪🏾

I’ve had mine a week and actually love it. You’re right though, the price point should be less since not leather. But the color, weight, and MagSafe strength is better than Nomad. Apple fans are like Star Wars fans 😂.

It is pretty funny how the internet is judging this case on the basis of how it will look like trash 6 months from now, yet the case is the first of its kind. It's ignorant to assume anything at this point because this is brand new material. All of my previous iPhone cases were Apple leather cases and since they're no longer available I went the fine woven case in pacific blue - I really like it so far. If my case ends up looking like trash 6-months from now, then so be it, and I'll find something else.

Honestly, the problem isn’t that the case gets scratched, its that even if you’re cautious with the case, you’re bound to see nicks within a week or two. Sure, the case is meant to protect the phone, but if you’re dropping all that money on a case, it should at least retain its new condition for at least more than a few days.
