I've never been to New York City, my father lived and worked in Manhattan for 31/2 years in the 60's, the first time he visited the World Trade center was on September 11, 1974 coincidentally, subway fare was 70¢ at that time

We're going to New York in May 2024 and I've watched a lot of videos online about New York, just now I saw your videos, I watched some videos from your channel and it feels like friends talking, i love it ...I just watched your wedding video and it felt so full of happiness and sweetness. Lately, I've been quite reluctant to get married; as they often say in Chinese nowadays, fear of getting married. But watching your video made me feel that marriage can indeed be a very happiness thing. So, I really appreciate you sharing your video.😀😀😘

You saw a good amount for one trip in NYC! As a local, I always warn people that you will not be able to see everything in one trip… or two… or three even. 😅 Hey, I still haven’t even been to the Edge or done a helicopter tour. The city can be overwhelming if you try to do too much so I recommend you pick a few things that are scattered about so you can spend a day in different parts of the city including boroughs other than Manhattan. Leave time in your schedule to be spontaneous or spend more time in a place you like. Depending on how much of it you wanted to see or how many things you’d wanted to do, you could easily spend a whole 3 days in central park alone and still not see everything in it!! I agree that the NY Pass seems like a good deal especially if you want to do general touristy things but still see a decent amount of the city… but after that I’d try to avoid doing too many of those things because they don’t really give you a feel for what the city’s really like as the activities included are tourist activities in touristy areas… areas which locals generally try to avoid. 😅

Another nice activity to do during sunset is to have a picnic in Island Park, which offers a nice view over the Hudson River and the One World Trade Center. Plus it has amazing architecture and it’s looked near an entrance to the elevated park called the High Line where you walk through the buildings. Both activities are free.
