Why it's time to say goodbye to my favourite trail shoe

Having used La Sportiva Ultra Raptors for all of my backpacking trips since 2015, I've reluctantly decided to look for a different shoe for future hiking trips. Having tried Altra Lone Peak 4.0 and finding the amount of cushioning lacking, I am now experimenting with other Altra models.

Sometimes its trial and error. Although its been a bit or a sore trial by the sound of it for you. Would you consider a high ankle boot or are you happier in the trail shoe. Have you thought about the socks you use as well as these might not have helped either. Your next set will definitely get you to the finish No problem at all. Great video and review of these.
