You are fundamentally misunderstanding how tag team fighters work. It isn't a support you can swap to temporarially. You can hard switch and play as long as you want, It is a whole character and you can run it as your starter if you want.

The graphics reminds me of guilty gear so much. It looks fantastic, if made right we will be seeing this game played by famous fighting game pro players on stage and I can't wait to see what sick combos can they do using these characters.

What I'm worried is tag team combos can be very complicated and overpowered (see the infamous tekken tag tournament 2) thus creating an unfair and repetitive game meta
