Thank you for your car rental tip. We are visiting Spain in October and I had already booked a car for 6 days. I checked on the same car rental through your Skyskanner link and it was less than half the price. I cancel my reservation and rebooked though your link!!

If I can add a helpful suggestions, Nicole, check to see if your credit card has insurance coverage for your rental car! A guy hit me in California and of course, he had no insurance but my AMEX card covered all the damages..$3700! That was a lifesaver! Great video, I have been to Spain 3 times this year and am always looking for ways to save $$$!

I like staying in AirBnB that's hosted that way you're not reducing the # of long-term rentals. Cheap and interesting and some good stories. As for flights, yes, I'm in LA and still only pay around 4-5 hundred dollars for roundtrip to Madrid. I can get to Valencia by train quickly. Also Barcelona and Seville. Staying close to subway lines in decent places away from tourist areas if I need a hotel. And yes, I now usually stay in smaller towns usually an hour or less from the bigger cities. Never travel in summer to Spain too hot or too hot & humid.

I think September is the best time to visit Spain. The temperature is usually around 24c, I find the summer heat oppressive

Hi! Lots of information, Have you rented a car recently? Prices that you paid are not even close, I just looked them up for a November trip and are not cheap at all.
