It's awesome how he knows it's really difficult to make realistic looking graphics, so he instead made it "photo realistic" seen through the lens of a grainy fish eye camera so it still looks real even if the footage gets distorted or pixelated.

The key to realistic graphics is to make it look like footage shot in the 90s.

The clever distortion, fish-eye view, and intense weapon and camera sway really makes it look photo-realistic. I'm really excited for this since it can and probably will spawn an entire sub-genre of tactical FPS games.

when he cleans up the animations and outdoor areas this game will actually be the closest to being indistinguishable from real life than any other game i've ever seen. pausing the video on any of the interior shots makes it look mind-blowingly real

I like his approach of making it realistic not only just by making everything extremely high polygonal or shaded/lighted but with usage of camera effects, filters, shaking and such. Brilliant.
